Geocache Description:

Crowning atop Parker Hill near the McLaughlin Playground is a unique array of large stone blocks. With out any notable description, one can only imagine what this ancient looking structure's intention was meant for. Was it used for magical conjuring, long forgotten dark rituals, or maybe it's just the surviving remnants of an old forgotten castle? We hope you have as much fun envisioning all the possibilities of this peculiar site.

In truth this stone sculpture is called Ben's Circular Tower. It's stone seats are arranged for sitting and listening to a story. The tower is a memorial for Ben Beland, a young child from the Mission Hill neighborhood who succumbed to cancer, and who enjoyed playing at McLaughlin Playground and visiting the local library. It was designed by the Welsh-born artist Mags Harries and echoes the ruined castles in her home country. The tower was completed in 1994
