Geocache Description:

Easy and fun find in this small town that is just outside of Wharton, TX. Owner is aware of the cache. There is a prize for the FTF!

The town of Glen Flora, TX sprang up around the Colorado River in the late 1800's as a German settlement where sugar cane and rice were grown. The Hood-Martin Building was built in 1912 after a fire destroyed most of the original store, and is a grand three-story structure with a rare buggy elevator inside. The buggy show room was located on the second floor of the building.
