Geocache Description:

Be Strong, Be Courageous #3

TB for the FTF

October is typically the month when scary things are surrounding our daily activities. People enjoy being scared by things that are for the most part not based in reality. In real life, however, there are many PERCEIVED reasons to be anxious, fearful or worried. Authorities tell us that 82% of things we are worried about never  happen, are unchangeable from our past or are based on criticisms of people that are locked into their own opinions.

Allowing issues to dominate our thinking is one approach to handling problems. The “Bother” as the wise philosopher Pooh  calls it, can be an opportunity to “Try another Way”, change attitudes, do something different, look for alternatives.

This cache series is about celebrating strength and courage, and being able to laugh at the “Bothers” and being overcomers. We designed these caches to hopefully have a light hearted approach to what makes us anxious, have some fun and laugh in the process. We know not everyone will do that- but we’re not stressing out about it! J

The series includes: Bad Hair Day? Bad Comb-over?/ Lost Your Marbles?/ Measure once, cut twice?/There’s never enough Green$/ Pests of the Past/ The Bite of criticism/Goliaths, Giants and Bullies OH MY!/ and Does this make my butt look BIG?. They all relate to our worries about appearance, likeability, health or whether we are successful.

We generally try to tie the street name in with the series, but we couldn’t find Anxiety Avenue, Worry Way or even a Fearful  Freeway. OK the last one is probably a stretch. MY BAD! There will be TBs or other incentives in half of the caches.
