Geocache Description:

Parking and bathrooms are close by, so it's a great place to come take your little one for an intro to hiking. This small tupperware box has a few fun treasures for little little kids. Please bring a pen and something cool to trade!

I'm trying to get our 3rd grade Brownie troop out geocaching. Lots of caches in our area seem to be missing or hard to find. So I'm hoping this one will be good for our Brownies and other kids and cachers in the area. This little Los Leones trail on the Border of Topanga State Park is one of our favorite hikes in the area. You can park right along the side of the road on Los Liones, or park in one of the 3 parking lots up the road and hike back down the trai to find this cache. This is a great little trail to introduce little kids to hiking. There are a few small wood bridges (cross over rock gullies)...one might even have a geocache with treasures, lots of rocks to pick up and toss, and an amphitheater to put on a little performance. There are a couple bathrooms and drinking fountains too. If the kids like this easy "hike," then you can keep going up the mountain on the Los Leones trail for some more adventurous hiking! The cache is right on the trail, so please be wary of muggles and carefully conceal the container when you put it back. Thanks!
