This cache is located in the Twin Buttes area.  After heavy rains the area may be closed to vehicle traffic and if the roads are muddy you may get your vehicle stuck.  A high clearance vehicle is advised.  It is a short 1/4 mile hike over level ground to the cache from the pipe gate.  Parking coordinates are provided for cachers who choose not to drive to the cache.

Eons ago a tortured soul was condemned to an eternity of suffering in the bowels of the SULPHUR PIT.  The box you seek is the opening to this pitiful place.  Unlocking this door will release the demon, and expose all San Angelo to its' unspeakable terror.  If you are foolish enough to unlock this door, protect your loved ones by shielding them with your person.  The spirit will enter and possess the first warm body it encounters as it leaves the pit of misery.

This vile demon defies all logic.  Its' power diminishes as the sun falls.  Under cover of darkness is your best bet for survival as the demon weakens.  But, also, your courage will be sapped in the darkness.  So, only the most daring of seekers must attempt to open the door to this pit without light of day.

If you are possessed, signing the log with your own blood will help, but is optional.
