The above posted coordinates are NOT where you will find a cache. But you can use those for parking. There is no charge for hiking on the property. But please let Ray at the lodge know that you are geocaching.
THIS CACHE IS AVAILABLE ONLY DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.
The Stumps to Stones Series cache can be found only AFTER you find four traditional caches that hold clues to the location of this puzzle cache. Also at this location is a small historical token. Remember or write down all the clues given from the four Stumps to Stones caches. Pictures at GZ are encouraged and welcome. But of course keep clues and location to yourselves, please. Cache container is a small watertight lock n lock. Large enough for geocoins and small travel bugs. The cache is starting off with a gift for the First to Find. Also dropping two Travel Bugs to move along.
You will need clues from each of the following traditional caches to obtain the puzzle coordinates:
N 40* 3A.BCD W 078* 2E.FGH
GC5FNDN
GC5FNE8
GC5FPD4
GC5FPDC
The hike for the entire series (five caches) is roughly 1.6 miles round trip from parking. The four traditional caches are just feet from the paths. The final Puzzle Cache is a very minimal bushwhack but the terrain rating goes up for the Puzzle cache. ***UPDATE*** The final can be a easier terrain if you go back to the red marked trail from #4. The final cache is just FEET off the newly established red trail!
The caches are placed with permission on the property of the Blair County Game, Fish, and Forestry Association. The property is also used as a shooting range. ALL paths and roads are safe from the ranges and safe for hiking. There are well marked signs where not to walk. Please be sure to wear blaze orange during hunting seasons.
