THE MUSKOKA CHAIR

The Muskoka Chair is a geo-art series in Gravenhurst designed to introduce more puzzles to the Muskoka area, as well as to expose cachers to a wide variety of puzzle types. The caches are all quick park & grabs – look for a camoed pill container or magnetic micro. After all, you’ve already done most of the work!

To find the coordinates to this puzzle you have to solve a traditional physics problem. You have a cannon. You know that your target is 9315.148 m away on horizontal ground, and your cannon fires a ball at a speed of 302.14 m/s. What angle relative to the ground should your cannon be at to hit the target? This will give you N. Assume no wind resistance and g is 9.8 m/s^2.
For the second part we have the same cannon, however a small wind is blowing 1.387073 m/s perpendicular to your shooting direction. You already have your cannon turned 79 degrees, but you have to adjust it a little bit against the wind. Find the angle of adjustment and add 79 degrees to it. This will give you W.
So.... Back to school yeah??? Good Luck.
