The world's largest freshwater island is also home to many small islands. Gull Island is the smallest of these on Lake Kagawong.
Formed by melting glaciers, which deposited millions of tons of boulders and sediment as they receeded, the rocky islands, shouls and harbours that dot the Great Lakes bear witness to the immense power of the ice. The islands of Lake Kagawong make ideal destinations for a morning kayak paddle, an evening camp fire or a quiet night camping on your own deserted island. Or, IF the ice is thick enough, an excuse to take a long walk across the lake. This geocache was placed here to force you to slow down and enjoy the view. No muggles. No traffic. Just you on your own island.
It's a celebration of travel, and a collection of mementos from around the world.
