Geocache Description:


The cache is a nano and is hidden near the Reservoir carpark. The dam was built in the late 1950s to provied extra water for Armagh and the surounding area and provides 14 megalitres per day to 50.000 consumers, the reservoir covers an area of allmost 70 acres and holds up to 490 millions gallons of water, at it's highest it is 90 feet above the old bed of the Butterwater river which feeds the reservoir, it is a very popular fishing area stocked each year with Rainbow and Brown Trout by the Armagh Angling club, watch out for muggles, can be a quick cache and dash but is a great spot to stop for a picnic.
