Geocache Description:

N0 9 in a series of caches, some will be at sporting venues others may not.

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in the Australian Football League

during a regular season.

This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission from 1942 to 1945 due to World War 2.

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1934, 1937 and 1938 Brownlow Medal was won by Dick Reynolds from the Essendon [bombers] Football Team.

He had 19 votes in 1934

             27 votes in 1937

             18 votes in 1938.

The cache is a small plastic screw top fruit container painted green. With log and a few swaps.

Cache may be difficult to get at times when a sporting event is being held.

Please make sure that cache is replaced and well covered.

Keep a eye open for muggles.

Please watch out for snakes in the warmer months.

Have fun.
