What happened to Tom's Diner in Roxbury Township?
Built in 1930 as the Silver Dollar Diner, Tom's Diner is the second oldest known Silk City-style diner. Seretis' grandfather, also Tom, bought it in 1958. Tom's Diner is also listed on the state Register of Historic Places. The diner was also where Cyndi Lauper filmed her iconic "Time After Time" music video. His parents Frank and Pauline operated it until Frank passed away in 2004. His mother, now 82, remains the sole owner of the property. It's been vacant ever since, as weeds continue to grow and the paint fades and chips away
Will Tom's Diner ever be open again? Tom says he is doing his best to get it reopened sometime in the future.
NOTE: There is a barking dog in the cache area but it is nowhere near the cache.
