The first of nearly 4 dozen geocaches placed along a 160-mile length of the Bear River between Niter (Idaho) and the Bear River Bird Refuge (Utah) in the summers of 2013 and 2014. It is here at the old Cove Powerhouse that we began our long canoe adventure. We tried to place most caches in this series where they could only be accessed by floating the river, thereby encouraging others to explore and enjoy the "Bear" for themselves.
This cache is located at eye level in a small tree on the river's west bank . The cache container is a yellow plastic capsule hanging about eye level in a Russian Olive tree. BYOP.
