'Kurome River' is the medium size river which assumes 'Saikachi-Kubo' of the Kodaira Cemetery the source of a river.
We can walk comfortably by a river.

'Saikachi-Kubo'.
This big puddle becomes the source of a river of 'Kurome River'.
As for current 'Kurome River', a flow of the water started a side of 'Shin
Omekaido Street' .
We can look a flow of the water from the sidewalk of 'Shin Omekaido Street'.
Furthermore, this river join Higashikurume-shi, Niiza-shi, Asaka-shi and the
flow Shingashi River.
In Higashi Kurume City, we have established a promenade along the Kurome River.
We can explore the quiet promnade.

黒目川は小平霊園のさいかち窪を水源とする中小河川です。
さいかち窪は大雨が降ると大きな水たまりが出現します。
この大きな水たまりが黒目川の水源となっています。
現在の黒目川は新青梅街道を交差したあたりから水の流れが出てきます。
新青梅街道の歩道から水の流れを確認できます。
さらに東久留米市、新座市、朝霞市と流れ新河岸川に合流します。
黒目川の源流は小平霊園の一角にあるさいかち窪と呼ばれる窪地です。
しかし現在ではさいかち窪で水を見ることはまれです。
実際に水を見ることができるのは、新青梅街道をこえたところからです。
東久留米市では、黒目川沿いに遊歩道を設置しています。
静かな小川の散策をすることができます。
