Little Britain in China!
One of our friends just left China after 3 years living nearby this place, just down the road. It ultimately also became our second living room whenever we needed an "escape to the western world" in this huge concrete jungle. There will be very friendly helpers around, some will speak English, many not.
The JiangTai Road is full with small Chinese restaurants, reaching from lamb soup places over hot pot to Xinjiang style and even one Korean restaurant. A lovely place to experience local food culture - especially in the summer time when all the tables and benches for being put outside with a lot of barbequeing going on.
Even though you will be more out of sight from many muggles, still be aware that not everybody around knows what you are doing or looking for - so be careful!
