The Kentdale Hall, formerly known as the Old Kentdale School, has social and historical significance. It was used as a school for the local children of Group Settlements 105 and 110 as attested to by the plaque on the site. The school opened on 31st of May 1926 after a request from the local people to the Education Department. Owing to the decline in student numbers it closed between 1947 and 1954 then reopened for a short time before finally closing in December 1960. The hall is still used today for a variety of community purposes.
