This reserve is near where we built our first house and where our kids spent their early years.
It is named after Jack Thompson who owned the land where the reserve is located. Before Thorn Street was extended for the new housing estate in the 1960s, local identity Jack Thompson owned a 10 acre estate where he grew a variety of vegetables and fruit. He also had a poultry farm which supplied eggs for the Sydney market.
There is a lovely play area so bring the kids along while you look for this cache and enjoy some time in a quiet place.
Congratulations to Yurt for a very quick FTF!
