Rob Jesson was the Financial Planning Manager for St Helena Government from 2008 until 2010. Rob originally hid this cache for one of his friends but managed to misreport the coordinates. With the aid of a photograph the Cache was located and is now being registered four years later.
The road to Sandy Bay is quite windy with great views through the gaps in the flax. Colin's Bar with its fantastic views across to Lot is located down a small track on a hairpin bend just beyond the shop, well worth a look but open infrequently. Past the last house the road forks, there are no signs but it is the right hand fork that takes you to the parking area.
From there it is a short walk to the cache.
Sandy Bay gets the best of the weather so even when it is miserable elsewhere it can be very pleasant in the bay. There are 'long drop' toilets and covered areas for cooking so this is a great place to have a BBQ and dip ones toes in the sea once the cache is logged.
