Geocache Description:

This is a Challenge Cache. The cache is located at the listed coordinates and the logbook inside it can be signed at any time. You must however, complete the challenge requirements stated below to claim it as found online.

This is placed in a park that closes at dusk. Please only go for it during daylight hours!

This challenge was envisioned by Bigcall to honor Charter Members. To quote Bigcall:
With over 6 million registered cachers there are less than 500 "Charter Members". Charter Members are those cachers who were the first paid Premium Members back in the 2002 through early 2003 timeframe and who have maintained continuous paying membership since.
See the official definition here.

Of the existing/current CMs, many have no caches placed. This can make completing the normal 50 CM challenge pretty tough so we've decided to do a "lite" version here in SE Texas.

To qualify for this challenge, you must find, or have found, caches that are owned by at least ten 10 different current Charter Members. This means that the cache owner has to be of Charter Member status at the time you log your find. Caches may be of any type and it's fine if they've since been archived. A little twist on ours is that if you just happen to be a Charter Member, that we'll allow you to log a find after finding just 9 other CM caches. This is our way of saying Thanks for being a CM all these years.

To help with this challenge, Moun10Bike has posted a list of active caches owned by charter members. Also, Charter Member fizzymagic, the namesake of a famous and popular genre of challenge caches, contributed two GSAK macros that may be of help. There is one to check your finds and another to identify unfound caches hidden by charter members. These last two links are used in conjunction with GSAK. GSAK isn't for everyone so please feel free to use any other means for finding CMs and/or determining whether you qualify for our challenge.

Please provide a means of verification when you log your find online. Bookmarking a list is probably the easiest but you can post a screenshot of your list with your log if that works better for you.

The cache itself is small in size and should be fairly easy to spot once you're at ground zero. Parking isn't too far off and the short bushwhack into the trees is easy as well. Note that this is in a park where soccer play is sometimes the agenda for the day. Not sure when this occurs but be advised that there'll be lot's of muggle activity nearby when it does.

That's about it except to say that we hope you enjoy our little challenge. Oh, and Goodluck!
