This cache is placed on the Ballycrummy Road connecting the Killylea Road to the Cathedral Road. The cache is located at the Pearse Ogs football pitch. Pearse Ogs original footballing home had always been in the Athletic Grounds in Drumarg. In 1984 the Club completed a major upgrade of the facilities, however the deteriorating economic conditions of the late '80s put enormous pressures on Club finances to the effect that control of the grounds was ceded to the County Board. This left the Ogs in the unfortunate position of being at a serious disadvantage playing wise.
However efforts were made in the mid-90s to try to rectify this situation. The club negotiated with the local Council regarding the Club taking a long term lease on the Council owned Ballycrummy Playing Fields and was successful. The site has now been transformed. A magnificent main playing pitch was laid. The practise pitch is floodlit. A state of the art changing pavilion has been constructed that provides for all the needs of modern day teams. The complex has been tarmaced and landscaped. It was officially opened in 2007.
The cache is a magnetic test tube container 12mm in diameter and 150mm and parking is close by on the roadside. The traffic passes at speed so take great care.
