Geocache Description:

大正2年(1914)に開園した、廿日市市で最も古い公園。桜尾城主桂元澄(かつらもとずみ)の子孫、桂太郎公爵が大正元年、桜尾城址を永久的に保存するため、当時の廿日市町に寄贈したことから桂公園の名がつけられた。春には約120本の桜が咲き、毎年3月下旬から4月上旬にかけて多くの花見客が訪れる。

Was opened in 1914, the oldest park in Hatsukaichi. About 120 cherry trees bloom in the spring, many of blossom viewers visit through early April from the end of March every year.
