This will be a snow, rain, hail or shine event. It is outdoors and there will be no shelter so dress accordingly.
There is parking around the park, be careful, it is one way. There is also parking behind the library (turn in by the optician's) or behind Liz's restaurant/in front of Harding's.
SCHEDULE:
Any time before Noon - Stay Away from ground zero. This should be easy to do here. There's plenty to look at and places to go to stay warm. There are restaurants, shops and the library (open at 9am) nearby. The library even has a cache inside if you haven't found it before. Please try not to congregate in a single area, even away from GZ.
10:11AM - At exactly 10:11 AM as determined by the clock on our GPS a blue bucket will be placed at ground zero. This is your cue to come over and start the flash mob.
10:11AM – 10:18AM - Goody bags will be handed out containing:
• A pencil - find it and sign the log. When signing, make sure to include the number of people represented by that name.
• The meal - it’s in there, but know that if you come hungry you will be leaving hungry too.
• A noise maker - needed for the group photo and to attract some attention – use at will (let's try to get a rendition of Jingle Bells going).
Please only one goody bag per group (even if you have separate caching names). There are extra noise makers available for additional people in your group, just let me know how many you need. If there are goodie bags left over once everyone gets one we will distribute the rest starting with any children.
10:18AM - Assemble for the group picture don’t forget the noise maker, let's try to get Jingle Bells going!!!
10:25AM - One Minute left to get your name on the log and say your goodbyes.
10:26AM - ITS OVER !! The bucket will be picked up and everyone must leave "Ground Zero". If you missed signing the log, you missed the event. SORRY!
If everything goes right we will have people converging on one spot for a 15 minute geocaching event and then disappearing. Should be fun and very confusing to any observing muggles.
There is a noon event in Portage if you would like to socialize over lunch and you will have an hour and half to get there from here: Between the Holidays
