Recently I was visiting a Book store and I came across an interesting book titled 125 Unusual things to see in Ontario. Well, I just had to stop and scan through this book because I have always found the most unusual things are often the most interesting as well.
I was not surprised to discover that on my travels throughout Ontario I have visited many of these unusual places and things. While some of these unusual things are tourist attractions, many are not. Some were places with unique geology or scenic views, and others had historical value. Strange headstones, trees, ghost towns, and structures are all included in the book.
I had visited some of these places before I started to geocache but many more I would never have known had there not been a geocache at that location, often being given a favorite point because of the “unusual” thing at that location.
One of these locations was a place in Scarborough that I must have driven past any number of times but had never stopped because I did not realize there was anything special about this spot and there was never a geocache there, that I am aware of.
I visited the spot recently and decided that I would place a cache here to bring others to this unusual thing. Hope you enjoy your visit and take some time to explore and read the Iroquois Prayer on the back of the large granite rock.
This short two stage multi will bring you to the top of Taber Hill. Read the plaque to determine information you need to find the final cache location.
1. Approximately how many persons are buried here? Add the numbers together to get a two digit sum. Double this number and add 10 to this number then subtract from the posted north coordinate.
2. Burials were made about what year? Add the numbers in this year to get the sum. Subtract 5 from this number and subtract it from the posted west coordinate.
You should now have your final coordinate for this multi. Good luck and enjoy your visit to this “unusual” place.

Congratulations to fyao on your FTF
