As the local head investigator, a new case has just come across your desk. With it being a new case, details are still a bit sketchy but here are some aspects that you do know....
A phone call came into the station around 8:30 p.m. the night before from an unidentified guest of the Venture Mansion. Local uniformed cops, and paramedics, rushed to the house where one, Mr. Boddy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five guests of a dinner party and an employee have been detained for your further questioning. Also, despite the body being found in the den, evidence seems to suggest it was moved there from a different location.
The local uniforms report no signs of forced entry, all outside doors and windows were shut and locked. During their search, they also found six suspicious items. These have been collected for your further examination. It is believed one of these may be the murder weapon.
The guest list of Mr. Boddy's dinner party included the following; retired Army Captain Carl Crimson, actress Miss Mary Magenta and her mother Mrs. Bonnie Bluebird, mathematics professor Peter Periwinkle, and Reverend Kurt Chartruese. Also present was his personal assistant Miss Karla Klear. They are waiting in their own separate areas for your questioning.
Your job, should you choose to accept and not pass it on to a rookie, is to collect and study your clues to discover what truly happened to Mr. Boddy on his final night.
To do this, you will need visit a series of six caches. Within each cache you will be able to find clues to eliminate possible suspects, weapons, or rooms. Once you have enough clues, you can visit "whodunnit?" to make an accusation. Though helpful, it is NOT necessary to visot all six of the clue caches. If your accusation is correct, you will be rewarded and commended among your peers. If not, it is time to reevaluate your investigation.
As you collect clues(found on the inside cover of the log), you will be able to formulate your final coordinates. If you find a suspect, weapon, or room listed in a clue cache, it can be illiminated from further suspicion. Once you have things narrowed down, use the associated information to piece the final coordinates together.
