Cinder, my neighbors cat was born in October 1983 and died in October 2014 for the 9th life.  We were hoping to keep the cat alive to make it into the Guiness Book of records.  He should have been recognized world wide it looks like since the oldest living cat according to them is only 24 at the time of Cinder's passing.
