Geocache Description:

This is the first geocache I have placed and I hope it will bring cachers to a very peaceful and beautiful place.

Mt. St. Thomas Catholic Chuch at Mooresville stood on this site from 1852 to 1959.  The church was first attended from Hagerstown by Father Henry Myers who built the little church. In the adjacent graveyard burials from as early as 1799 can be identified.  At least 70 graves are known to be here, many of which are construction workers on the C & O Canal. St. Marys Catholic Church in Hagerstown cares for the cemetery.

Please be respectful of this area and no caching after dark! CONGRATULATIONS TO NOMALAND ON THE FTF!
