Geocache Description:


Marble Road is a predominantly local residential area but this makes for quieter streets and lots of hidden gems that make it well worth a visit.
 

Marble Road was reputed in markets and hawkers selling low-priced clothing, accessories and household items. Some of the hawkers had extended their store space onto the street so you could feel the vibrant atmosphere around. It was known as “Lady’s Street” in Hong Kong Island.

 

Due to the rapid development in Hong Kong with large population on scarce land, varieties of small shops and nano (consignment) shops are rising nowadays. These small shops and nano (consignment) shops could also be found in Marble Road now, in the meantime, the local culture of markets and hawkers were preserved.
