blackdogivy: Nice day for a stroll and to check on a few of my hides. FP busy here cutting down scrub trees and cache is missing. Since replaced 3X me thinks this is no longer a good place to hide. Thanks to all who visited.

If you grew up in the Wauconda/Island Lake area past 50 years, you will surely recall fond memories of Blackburn and Broughton Hardware Store.
This was the place to be! Most of the families bought their Christmas presents here..this store had everything! While the parents were downstairs, the kids would climb the creaky steps to go upstairs to the best toy room ever! This building is now occupied by Whippletree Antique store, what a terrific old building on Main Street in Wauconda!
