EN: Druskininkai Old Cemetery


LT: Pirmasis miestelio gyventojas šiose kapinėse palaidotas 1858 m. Vienoje kapinių pusėje buvo laidojami katalikai, kitoje – stačiatikiai, o centrinėje dalyje – protestantai. Miestelio turtuoliai buvo įsirengę didelius šeimų ir net giminių kapus. Kapinėse surasime garsaus gydytojo Ksavero Volfgango, kurorto populiarintojo daktaro Jono Pileckio, M.K.Čiurlionio tėvų Konstantino ir Adelės Čiurlionių kapus. Kalbama, kad čia palaidoti ir 107-ojo Niujorko mero Rudolfo Džiulijanio protėviai (E.Džiulijanio kripta).

EN: The first resident of the town was buried in this cemetery in 1858. One side of cemetery was used by Catholics, another by the Orthodox and the central part – by the Protestants. Rich people of the town have established even large family graves. In this cemetery you can find graves of famous people: X. Wolfgang, Doctor Jonas Pileckis, Konstantinas and Adele Ciurlioniai (parents of M.K.Ciurlionis). It is said that in this cemetery are buried ancestors (crypt of E.Giuliani) of 107th New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
