Geocache Description:

Easy cache and dash nano near an often forgotten monument. Might prove tricky to reach for some wheelchair users. Stealth required!

Just a simple little nano to highlight William Hunter was burnt at the stake near this spot in March 1555 aged just 19, following his refusal to renounce his beliefs. The monument on Wilson's Corner was erected by public subscription in 1861 near the site.

The Martyr's Elm was planted on the apparent spot further down Ingrave Road but the 400 year old tree was removed in 1952.
