This wooded area was at one time slated to become a public park. My father and grandfather helped clear the land in the 1970s. However, for reasons unknown, the land was let grow up again. It was briefly popular as a makeout location in the early 1980s. Post-Arthur, the large number of fallen trees necessitated the park being cleared again, resulting in it being as open as it was once.
The cleanup after Arthur meant that I had to change the location. The original location became impassible, So I had to choose a new location and a different container. Watch your step getting here. What was once a steep but nice walk is now more of an obstacle course.
