Geocache Description:

A micro cache planted in Banbury's historic marketplace!

Welcome to Banbury's historic marketplace!

There are a number of small and independent shops in the town centre as well as the big chains you can find in any town. There is a market on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as a Farmers Market on the First Friday of Every Month. The Banbury Cross, which is located on a roundabout in the middle of the town, was erected in 1859 to celebrate the wedding of Prince Frederick of Prussia to his bride, the original cross having been pulled down some 250 years earlier. Apart from the Cross, Banbury is also noted for its Banbury Cakes. Banbury is mainly famous for the Nursery Rhyme: Ride A Cock Horse To Banbury Cross To See a Fine Lady Upon a White Horse With Rings on Her Fingers And Bells on Her Toes She shall have Music Wherever She Goes.

The cache is a small container, big enough to hold a log book and small TB's etc. You may need someone on the *tall* side to help you :) PLEASE replace the cache exactly where you found it.

Good luck!!
