The cache site is familiar to anyone from the area… but the new cache may not be.
For many decades… this creek crossing was familiar to the locals as there was an old, rusty bridge crossing here that was said to be haunted. Some cachers even claimed to hear evidence of this haunting.
And for a couple of years… there was a very difficult to get to cache located atop that bridge… some 25 feet or so in the air. The old bridge fell into disrepair and was removed… and the cache on the "scary" bridge was removed with it. The new bridge, which is much safer, led me to put another cache here in the area that was also much safer and easier to get to.
But after a little more than a year… I think it's time to replace that fairly easy cache with one that will be a little harder to find and to get into your hands. Depending on your abilities… this might be a park 'n' grab for you… but I wouldn't bet on it. Bring your eagle eyes for searching… and your nerves of steel for attaining this cache as the area may very well still be haunted… even without the old bridge.
