Another one along the Hermit Trail on Catalina Island
Scuba diving so often takes us to Catalina and we just about always cache when we are here that we decided it was time to give a little something back to the caching community here. This trip brought us to the Hermit trail. This is about a 1400 foot elevation gain if you do the entire loop. It is a booger no matter which way you go up, but I suggest starting from the trail head at the camp ground near the botanical gardens. Then work your way around and end up coming out through the Botanical gardens after a 4 mile hike. Either way you go it is about two miles up then 2 miles down
