Tancerka ustawiona została w ogrodzie różanym – była to pierwsza rzeźba ustawiona w Parku Skaryszewskim.
Przedstawia młodą tancerkę uchwyconą w chwili ekstatycznego tańca. Odlana z brązu, mierząca 165 cm wysokości i ważąca 235 kg.
Autorem jest Stanisław Jackowski.
Jej uroczystego odsłonięcia dokonał prezydent Warszawy Zygmunt Słomiński 6 sierpnia 1927 r.
W 1998 roku miała miejsca nieudana próba kradzieży rzeźby.

(EN) The rose garden, dating back to 1926, is adorned with another interesting sculpture, that of A dancer by Stanisław Jackowski. It represents a young woman and captures a moment of ecstatic dancing. The sculpture was inaugurated in the park in 1926, however it had been displayed in an exhibition held in Paris.
