One of my favorite things to do any time of year, but especially in the fall, is drive up Gates Canyon Road to the top of Mt. Vaca. The fall color and views of the valley are unmatched by almost anything in the area. There are lots of caches up this way and down on the Mix Canyon side as well, but I thought I'd place one more up here to give you even more incentive to check out this beautiful area. Should be an easy park and grab, but use caution when parking because the space is rather tight, and people usually drive fast on this road. Log only cache, so bring your own pen.
