Glenora School No 736, the Glenora School District was formed in April 1892. It's original location was the North East corner of 27-3-13. This school burned down in 1910. A temporary school was built in town and replaced two years later by a new one-room school in 1946. This school burned down. Temporary facilities were set up in the Glenora Hall and used until a new one-room school was built in 1947.
In 1959 Wigton and Excelsior school districts consolidated with Glenora and the new school from Wigton was moved and joined onto the Glenora school.
This cairn is dedicated to the pioneers, teachers, trustees and students of this district dated Aug 2, 1992.
