M&M's are colorful button-shaped candies produced by Mars. M&M's originated in the United States in 1941, and are now sold in as many as 100 countries. The candy-coated chocolate concept was inspired by a method used to allow soldiers to carry chocolate without having it melt.
In 1996, Mars introduced "M&M's Minis", smaller candies usually sold in plastic tubes instead of bags.
The cache is a micro hidden near a nice westerly view on the M &M Trail. Seasonal entrance fee for summit road but ample parking at entrance on Old Mountain Road or road side at M & M Trail head on Old Mountain Road. Exercise caution especially with dogs and children as the trail travels near the crest of the cliffs in some places.
