（"Ome Shinmachi Ooido" is a well with a scale eminent Japan.
Local inhabitants was called "Maimaizu-Ido"(from the shape) before.
It is maintained now as a park.
There are the shallow pond with "Maimaizu-Ido" as a motif and fountain. and is used as an amusement place of children in summer.
And there are peony garden in the neighbor the park.
At anthesistime,The peony of 13 kinds of approximately 500 blooms in profusion.
ここは古い井戸の跡がある公園です。
実はこの公園の地下には圏央道が通っています。
「青梅新町の大井戸」は日本有数の規模を持つ井戸です。
以前はその形状から、地域住民に「まいまいず井戸」と呼ばれて親しまれていました。
現在は公園として整備されています。
まいまいず型の浅い池と噴水があり、夏には子供達の遊び場として利用されています。
隣接して牡丹園もあり、開花期には13種約500株の牡丹が咲き乱れています。
