Why?

  • A CHANCE TO WIN one of 3 HAND BLOWN GLASS BALLS and meet the creator.

  • Early information on the 6th annual Great Ball Quest.

  • WIN GEO COINS and PRIZES (must be present to win)

  • 3 Geo classes
  • Geocaching 101
Start your adventure here. Geocaching is a treasure hunt in the real world played by over 6 million people globally, all you need is a GPS or smartphone. Use skills of problem and puzzle solving, sleuth for and identify clues, learn navigation and orienteering. GPS devices available for class participants to use, so no need to have equipment, just good clothing for an outdoor adventure. Learn the rules, terminology and find several geocaches in this introductory class. 12PM with Ranger Tina.

  • "Codes and Ciphers" Advanced Puzzle solving-with GrievousAngel at 12PM.
    Class is Full.
  • If you're a beginning puzzle-solver ready for the next step, Puzzles 102 is for you. You should already know how puzzle-makers "hide" coords and what to do when there's nothing on the page you can identify as a puzzle; now it's time to look at some of the codes and ciphers used in geocaching puzzles. You will get a page of references and tools to arm you to solve future puzzles. Depending on time, you will practice solving puzzles in archived puzzle caches. (Sorry, we won't be solving any currently active puzzles!) If you have NO IDEA where to start with puzzles, you should probably wait for a Puzzles 101 workshop, and if you're already an experienced puzzle-solver, this workshop will probably be too easy for you.

Participation is limited (and limited to adult cachers), and participants will have to sign up by sending an email address for each participant to GrievousAngel (Class materials will be emailed out). Contact GrievousAngel through her profile on geocaching.com no later than January 31. Each participant will have to bring a laptop to use. Premium membership is not required to attend the workshop, but is advised because some of the archived puzzles we will be working with are PMO caches.

  • Geocaching Travel Bug workshop-Jcar

Everything you need to know, to create and activate your travel bug. Hands on class. Bring your travelers with you. Tags will be available at the workshop. Laptop will be a good idea to register in the class and send it on its journey tonight.
Class will start at 12PM meet in the main hall.
  • Free WI-FI.
  • Geo-BS.
  • Trade geo coins and travel bugs.
  • Meet WSGA members and learn how to join.
