Geocache Description:

a plant kingdom challenge

This cache is at the posted coordinates and is log only, so bring your own writing instrument. The physical log must be signed prior to posting your “Found It” log, and you must also have met the challenge requirements. If you sign the log sheet before meeting the requirements, just post a note stating that you signed the log and don't meet the requirements, then log your find when the requirements have been met. Any found it logs not meeting the challenge requirements will be deleted. The average D/T rating for these caches is 2/2. The higher rating takes into consideration the requirements for meeting these challenges.

CGCC stands for Casa Grande CoolidgeChallenge.

The canal has water in it occasionally so be watchful of your children and pets. The roads along these canals are not advised during wet weather.

This is the desert, so as usual bring plenty of water and beware of the thorns and poisonous animals. Most everything in the desert either sticks, pokes or bites. (Thorns of Cactus, Trees and bushes) (Bites of Rattlesnakes, Scorpions and spiders)

Most of all… Have Fun!

The challenge:  30 Plant Caches

There are challenge caches requiring you to find caches with animals as part of their name.  But what about plants ?  Without plants there are no animals!!!

This challenge requires you to find at least 30 caches that have the name as a plant somewhere in their cache name.  Some basic rules are :

  1. A plant name can only be used once in your list
  2. The name of a fruit can be used to identify the plant  (peach, apple, pecan)
  3. The common name and the scientific name of the plant can be counted as two  -   ( ash and “Fraxinus”)
  4. The general name and a specific species can count as two – (ie rose and prairie rose)
  5. There are no restrictions on when the cache was found and archived caches may be used
  6. Please submit your list of plants as a bookmarked list or post a screen shot to make checking an easier chore

We have attached our bookmarked list as an example – Survey of the plant kingdom
