The magnificent Church building dates from 1877 and is described as "French style gothic". Internally there is a high vaulted ceiling, with interesting frescos around the high altar, stained glass windows and a marvellous organ built in 1891 by A. Hunter and Son.
The front area was recently improved as part of the Town Centre revitalisation.
The above coordinates take you to the memorial outside Christ Church. It was erected in memory of Rev William Pincott, first vicar of Christ Church, who died after AB years of earnest work on Feb C DEFG. There are H gold crosses around the middle of the memorial.
The small magnetic cache (tweezers maybe required) can be found at:
N51° 27. (C-A) (F-C) (D+H)
E0° 8. (G-B-D) (F-B) (A+E)
It's a busy area but slightly out of the way so it should be possible to subtly retrieve.
