Geocache Description:

There used to be a traditional home on this corner. Tragedy struck and the house burned down. A neighborhood task force convinced the city council to turn this into a place especially for kids. Part of the money to build the park was donated in the memory of our next door neighbor, Wayne Dean, who gave his life saving his grand children from drowning in the ocean surf. Coincidentally when the park was created an old friend of ours happened to be Mayor of Snohomish. With these ties and our kids and grandkids playing at the park, we feel we have close ties to this busy neighboorhood park.

If you have young kids bring them to enjoy the Claytown Kids Park that the Kiwannis helped the city to refurbish in 2013.  Leave the dogs at home or in the car as this park is for kids and watchful parents only.

There used to be another cache here but it kept getting muggled. Let's hope this one can be enjoyed for a while.

CONGRATULATIONS to JimHegs for being the first to find.
