" It was at this stage that I started coming into a town, I had wiped my tears away and started peddling harder I didn't want any onlookers to notice how much I was struggling I needed to keep a cool and collected image! Just as I was approaching the corner the rain had stopped and the sun had begun to shine. Almost like a sign the clouds had parted and sunshine was lighting up the Corra Lynn War Memorial, I smiled and thought about the men and women who had sacrificed so much for a better world. I reflected on this for quiet awhile. Their ' slog' was so much harder than mine, in comparison I had nothing to complain about. This kept me going for several kilometers before I started falling off the band wagon again.
The Cora Lynn War Memorial is located off Nine Mile Road. The upper section of this granite obelisk is in the traditional tapered form, in a dressed finish, and the lower tiered sections are in a quarry-faced stone. The base, and fence piers are cement-rendered, with pipe rails, and appear to be of a later construction date. This concurs with the advice that the monument has been moved. The Cora Lynn War Memorial was established to commemorate locals who served in the First World War.
