Merit Badge Weekend CG Base 2014 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NCreviewer: It appears that there hasn't been a viable cache to find for some time. I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

CONTRATULATIONS to Geoku for braving the bridge to claim FTF!!

This cache was placed by the 2014 Boy Scout Merit Badge Weekend Geocaching class including Scouts and Scouters from Troops 57, 151, 162 and 164, .

Boy Scouts of America is an excellent program for boys ages 11 to 18 and provides them not only with fun but also equips them with important skills they will use throuthout thier lives. Many of these skills are taught through Merit Badges which range from Automotive Maintenance to Public Speaking to Nuclear Science to you guessed it - Geocaching.

The Geocaching Merit Badge was introduced in 2010 and covers safety, first aid, map and UTM navigation, leave no trace, cache in - trash out, and much more. This cache will require caution and care to retrieve so be careful and watch your step. In the warmer months snakes and ticks will probably be in the area so keep an eye out. If you take something, leave something of equal or greater value and please place the cache back as found.

*Warning* Local ledgend tells of trolls that roam this area, keep a sharp eye out and if you are stout hearted enough the legend also tells of a troll's treasure nearby. Have fun and "Be Prepared" Merit Badge weekend Caching Crew 2014
