Geocache Description:


Helsby Running Club’s Wednesday night club run is one of 3 runs during winter. This cache is one of three, each located part way round one of the runs, and contains part of the co-ordinates for a fourth cache. You will need to visit all three of the club run caches to get the full co-ordinates for the bonus cache (visit link) which is in a topical place.

This cache is based on the ‘Ince and Elton’ run. We start at the sports club in Helsby, then it’s out along the A56 towards Dunham on the Hill, right on Hob Lane, then right and quickly left over the motorway to Thornton-le-moors. Then right along A5117 to the lights and left towards Ince, then turn back through Elton, over the Motorway and home. This is disliked as it involves a lot of dark country lanes, but I like the varied nature of the run, compared to the other two out and back ones.

The club runs take place on Wednesday evenings starting at 6.30pm, and we now split into different groups, with varying pace or length, so shorter or slower runs are available for people new to the club. Just come to the sports club on a Wednesday night and have a go!
