The event is loggable from 4pm to 10pm on Saturday 18th April 2015

Although there will be at least one of the Arran Cachers at the campsite from approximately 3pm on Friday 17th April to late morning on Sunday 19th April

The Arran Cachers would like to invite you all to an evening of chat, food, whisky and lots of laughs at The 4th Taste of Arran event.

This year we've moved to April, partly so we aren't in Mega month and partly to avoid the midgies. Plus as Arran is even cheaper to get to (due to a reduction in the ferry costs) then a weekend on Arran is the perfect way to kick start the outdoor event season for 2015.

The loggable part of the event will be from 5pm on Saturday 18th April 2015, when we will be having an evening of local food and entertainment.

As last years format worked SO well, we're doing it again! The catering will be a JackieC/ distillery collaboration and the bar will be open too.

All the meat, cheese and oatcakes/relishes will be sourced locally, so you'll be having a true taste of Arran! (I can't vouch for where the veggies will be grown, but they'll be locally bought too).

As for last year we will some excellent vegetarian food, including the most amazing vegetable lasagne made in Lochranza.

The local pork, apple and black pudding sausages are worth coming over for alone, nevermind the amazing venison burgers!!

This year we aren't subsidised by the Mega, so its going to be £8 a head for the food. Don't worry, you will get plenty to eat!

Tickets can be reserved and paid for on the night.

Come over early and you may be rewarded with a flight by the Golden Eagles who nest nearby and are often seen flying overhead. Also look out for the local deer, they wander round the golf course and village and are very good at posing for photos.

Geocaching
There are lots of fabulous caches on Arran, and something for all abilities. From Corbetts to Caves, the island offers something for every cacher. IF you want to do a walk, but would like company then just post a note on the page and we'll try to team cachers up.
