Creek and Streams #1 This one is the Webb Branch. I’m assuming that it was name from the Webb family that resided in the area. The Webb Cemetery is located about 580 feet down the road to the west. Here’s some history of this cemetery. J.S. Webb stand for James Smith Webb born Jun 6 1832 died June 25, 1891 married Jane Clendenning born 1827 died 1870. The have four children: Jane 1850, Nancy 1860, James M. 1862-1933 and Rebecca 1865. 1880 census shows him married to Nancy Webb and shows another 4 children with her: John, Anna, Flora and Brody. Also buried here is Carrie Webb born April 11, 1890 died July 8, 1892. Her parents were James M. Webb (son of J.S. Webb) and Pare L Webb. Johnie Evans Coker born Dec. 16 1852 married Nancy Matilda Webb (Nannie Coker) on Aug. 14, 1876. She was the daughter of J.S. Webb. They had six children: Harvey 1881-1948 m. Johnie passed away Dec 14, 1905 and Nannie was born on Jan. 14, 1860 and pasted away on Jan. 26 1939. You will notice on her stone it says she pasted away in 1989. That must have been a mistake back then. Also many grave markers with just initials on them. You will notice on her stone it says she pasted away in 1989. That must have been a mistake back then.
