An attempt was made to follow up with the date and time theme that worked so well last year. It is unfortunate, that even when trying to use the American date system, it wasn’t going to provide a good time or date to spread some Christmas Cheer this year.
Geocachers are an unusual collective of people and since so many seem to be always rushing:
For a First to Find.
To encourage Mum or Dad to take us to a cache we want to find.
To do more caches in a streak.
To complete more caches in a day.
To do one last cache before that sporting event.
Get that cache before the sun goes down.
To attend an event between other functions.
And for so many other reasons.
The theme this year is “Always Rushin” for the Meet & Greet concept at Christmas that started with 11.12.13.
The location is changed to allow you to experience different areas around the Shire and it is hoped that the selected hours allow all who wish to attend the chance to sign the log during daylight hours. You don’t have to arrive at the start or stay to the end. You can get there early or leave later if you wish. We hope to see you there!
Hope you can attend. This event (“Always Rushin” Sutherland Shire Cachers' Meet & greet) is a great opportunity to put faces to the names you regularly see on random pieces of paper! and to reconnect with cachers’ that you’ve already met.

Time: 5:00pm till 8:30pm.

Place: Engadine Park – S34 03.166 E151 01.043
What: Meeting, Greeting & Eating!
Parking: Free parking is available on the street when the car park in Kingswood Rd is full.
Public Transport: Catch a train to Engadine and bus to the corner of Lantana and Kingswood Rds.
WHAT YOU MAY WANT TO BRING:
- A plate of nibblies (sweet or savoury).
- BYO dinner. There are BBQs available for anyone who’s keen or bring a Picnic. It is a long way to get take a way this year so if you want some, to pick up something on the way.
- Drinks. As you wish.
- Picnic blanket and/or chairs - There are shelter sheds and picnic tables where we're meeting.
- Suitable clothing for the weather.
- Your GPS or phone – so you can find us and any caches in the area that you haven’t found yet.
- Trackables for discovering and/or swapping.
RAINY DAY PLAN:
In case of inclement weather, we’ll post a note on the cache page. The event will NOT be cancelled. There should be enough cover available.
IMPORTANT
- Please post a Will Attend log if you are going to attend.
- When the event draws near, remember to drop any trackables into the Inventory. A container will be made available for swaps and a separate area for discovering swaps.
An attendance Log will be available from 5.00PM till 8.30PM.
