Geocache Description:

This Wherigo is the third in a series of three tours of major outdoor artworks on the UC Berkeley campus. There is no story involved, just a pleasant walk or ride on a beautiful public campus.  We hope you enjoy this tour and welcome all comments through your logs.  There are ten locations to visit, and not all of them are bears. The campus is entirely wheelchair accessible.

The tour was created for your enjoyment using Earwigo.

See Related Web Page for the Link to the cache.

Special thanks to bobf and Honu, of Team Io-Honu, for help in proofing the tour. Thanks also to A Team Vallejo for wherigo inspiration and guidance how to proceed.

This tour is about a mile long as the crow flies as measured on Google Earth. It could take an hour, so we recommend you find a two-hour parking zone on one of the nearby city streets, or use one of the fee lots, such as the city-owned Telegraph/Channing lot (see waypoint below) or visit UC Berkeley Visitor Parking Map at (visit link)  Please note that on football game days, parking can be especially challenging. Also, please be advised that city parking enforcers can be very vigilant. Street parking is free on Sundays.

The University of California, Berkeley is very proud of its Outdoor Art.  In 2000 they printed a brochure with a self-guided tour. The brochure is now out of print.

To find the cache, you must have a Wherigo player (such as the Whereyougo app for Android). Some GPS units have Wherigo built into them. Wherigo apps are also available for iOS and Android devices (e.g., smartphones or tablets with GPS). Please see www.wherigo.com for more information.

While on campus, you may also want to find some of the brilliant traditional and puzzle caches here.

TRIPLE PLAY INSTRUCTIONS (For those who want to tour the whole campus at one time)
The three tours may be played one at a time or consecutively. If played consecutively (one after the other after the other), plan for a few hours and, if you play them in a certain order (below), you will end not far from where you began. Sequences for triple play are explained below.

There are three sequences wherein the final cache of the third cartridge is not far from the first cache of the first cartridge, so, following any sequence below, if you park near the beginning of one cartridge, you will end not far from where you parked.

Here are three sequences to follow if you are going to do all three back-to-back-to-back. 1. Bears Repeating; Bears Resemblance; Bears Witness. OR 2. Bears Resemblance; Bears Witness; Bears Repeating. OR 3. Bears Witness; Bears Repeating; Bears Resemblance.

Whether you play one at a time or all in a day, enjoy! This is a beautiful, park-like public campus, where all are welcomed to stroll and picnic.

Congratulations NerdLove on the FTF!!!
