This flash mob event will occur mid-afternoon at Margate Park in Oshawa. "Why mid-afternoon?", you ask? Because at a little after 3:15pm, the date/time will be 12/13/14 15:16:17, and this is the last time there will be a consecutive date/time ascension in this century!
There is parking on the west side of the park, or anywhere along Margate Drive. Try to arrive a the park by around 3:00pm, but do not gather at the coordinates until prompted to do so. I have been to a few geocaching flash mobs, and have yet to see one where almost all of the attendees weren't already standing at ground zero ahead of time and attracting attention; let's make this one the exception to the rule!
There are a few paths and sidewalks to walk along, so it should be possible to be inconspicuous. Use your imagination.
A whistle will blow at 3:15pm, signalling the point that everyone can gather at the coordinates, which are at the bleachers beside the soccer field. A group picture will be taken as close to the target time as possible. Hot apple cider will be provided (bring your own mug). There will be a draw for an attendance prize, and the flash mob will disperse at 3:30pm.
